Key To Happiness

What makes you happy?

I have always read that true happiness lies within you. If you are not happy with yourself how can you be happy towards others. Im constantly searching for something that makes me happy. For a long time, I always depended my happiness off of others. This, I know now, is wrong. From my experience this has become one of the most toxic feelings I have ever experienced. Not having a good day until I speak to someone who makes me happy. I would wait all week even months to say I had a good day because I spoke a certain person. WRONG! I can’t tell you how amazingggg it feels to let this feeling go. If you are going through this now, and feel like you need this person or people to be happy, to smile, to feel good about yourself, know that it will go away and you will fond happiness where it has been all long, and that is YOU! 

This is an issue a close friend of mine is going through as well. She feels as if her life line and everything that makes her happy is her best friend. I try and tell her not to put so much of her happiness in one person. To me that is not okay. That will only put pressure on the person you are basing your “life” on and who knows maybe you will push them away. 

People leave. Not always in a bad way. It can be as simple as growing apart. What happens when that person leaves? Where does your happiness go? Are you going to sit and wait for them to come back? 

It makes me sad to think that people can’t be happy unless it is because of someone. Truth is you can! 

This doesn’t mean that having someone around that makes you happy is wrong, it means that there is so much happiness beyond them. 

The true happiness lies within you, and once you figure out how to make that your priority, you will feel completely new!

Daily Quote 

In the world we live in today it is so easy to follow what is told to us rather than be ourselves. Stay true to what you believe in. Do not let anybody tell you the type of person you are supposed to be. Everyone is beautiful in every way that they are.  Most importantly, DON’T HATE, society can be a cruel place and you will get sucked into it if you follow what is being told to you. Try your hardest to block out any negativity that comes your way.🙅🏽You will  find that life becomes a little easier without it!

Poem

I love reading poems, and I recently stumbled upon this one. It’s by C.W Longenecker, called ‘The Victor’, and I think it’s just so powerful. Anything in life we want to achieve starts from within. Once we are able to believe in ourselves, we can achieve it all. Don’t ever make yourself believe that you aren’t good enough or already failing. Our mind is a powerful thing. Once we learn how to stay positive and believe we can, everything else will fall into place.

Beautiful Day 

Hey guys!!! 

Hows everyones day going? 

Not going to lie, it has been very beautiful these past few days! We just got back from a run actually. Not a crazy long run but something simple to get our energy up. We find running and sometimes walking just very relaxing and peaceful. We love going to our local park and walking around the track. The noises are very soothing as well, the kids playing on the playgeound, the sound of the basketballs against the pavemnet, and who can forget the ice cream truck! 😋 

No matter how I am feeling, getting out for any amount of time gets me feeling better!

Good Morning

Good morning guys,

Whether you’re a morning or person or not, we all have to get up and conquer the day.  I personally am the first up in my house!  I love mornings, drinking a nice cup of tea or coffee nice and early, I feel like I have the whole day ahead of me.

Anxiety

Anxiety- A feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain. 

How many people can relate? I know this feeling has been with me for quite some years now, and I can’t quite shake it off. It’s a feeling of not being able to be yourself, to feel so stuck in your mind that you have no way out. I often find myself, in any almost every situation, stressing of anxiety. 
I think. Then think some more. And then I over think about thinking.
It’s a feeling that I want to break free of. I know it will be hard, but to have a feeling so over powering and life changing it much to over bearing. 
I try almost everything to reduce anxiety. 
I listen to music, mediate, pray, even try to close my eyes and go into complete relaxation. To tell you the truth, even laying and trying to do nothing gives me anxiety 
I would like to be able to be handed a situation and just know that whatever happens is meant to happen. I know that whatever worry or stress I have about anything will never change the outcome. So basically I am just hurting myself.
